Madden NFL 11 Trailers Go Quicker, Deeper

Helping explain Madden NFL 11's "simpler, quicker, deeper" philosophy, publisher EA Sports has put out a pair of trailers discussing the changes made to this year's entry:

Crafted by the franchise veterans at EA Tiburon, Madden NFL 11 is due out on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP and iPhone come August 10, 2010.

The second trailer, which goes deeper on the simpler and quicker, follows below:

I wonder if any of these programers, developers actually played the sports that they program games for. EA's Madden has never seem to progress the animation of the characters running, etc... From the video, it looks like none of these people played sports!

I wish they would just spend the year working on animations and collision detection. The game already looks great, just make it move better. Hopefully they'll get something similar to the Backbreaker tech.

I wonder if they bothered fixing the pop-in problem with their little cut scene type things (like showing the QB talking on the sideline). In Madden 10 you see the general features of the player's face, then a few seconds later the details show up. Pretty tacky looking.

my main problem with madden lately has been the be a pro starting with irrelevant mini-games that aren't comparable to the actual game. I don't want to spend time practicing irrelevant mini-games, I just want to play football.
