Morning Discussion

Two years after I first tried EVE Online, I've cracked open a new trial account and re-entered the exciting world of Internet spaceships. The experience for new users has been hugely improved, I am pleased to discover. I'd say more but this chatty needs to be posted now-ish. Tomorrow, perhaps? For now, chat a chat-chat.

Oh, and we're running a contest to win a custom-painted Left 4 Dead 2 Xbox 360 or other goodies, if you missed the announcement yesterday.

When will Sony address the wireless N ability for the PS3, Microsoft have done so.
(I don't even care, I'm just curious and saw that new model is coming soon for the PS3, no mention of N)

Sony is probably reluctant to spend on hardware, given how much they've lost on it.

It's not really necessary. Why would they increase the cost of the hardware even more just for wireless N?

I don't care - I don't even think wireless is smart. However the gaming and tech press are frankly, fucking vultures. They will make the biggest stink out of the stupidest shit. Analysts do the same thing too.

Oh noes what will Sony do for an X solution because Microsoft has now implimented Y! That kind of sillyness. I imagine a small quantity of their customers would actually like wifi N and I'm curious if they intend to capitalise on it in any way - just to keep up the dopey arms race.

I think I'd be more concerned if I had my media streaming to the PS3 working right now. I'm waiting for the next WHS version to release.

They probably won't. But at least it's built in to the damn system. You can always get a Wireless N bridge and use the Ethernet port instead.
