Tech Demo 'Stone Giant' Shows Off BitSquid Engine
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 22, 2010 6:00pm PDTTo show off its new game engine, BitSquid has got together with Lead and Gold developer Fatshark to create 'Stone Giant,' an swish tech demo starring a cool colossus which can be found in a 394MB download on FileShack.
BitSquid's 'Tech' engine boasts support for DirectX 11 and Nvidia's '3dVision' stereoscopic 3D, as well as other bells and whistles. Due to be available for licensing soon, the engine currently supports only PC but is due to pick up PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 support this fall. BitSquid was founded by two former lead engineers from now-defunct Bionic Commando developer Grin along with Fatshark's owners.
Be sure to read the manual to learn how to view and control the Stone Giant demo, or you can simply see the complete cinematic in this convenient trailer.
