Next Yakuza Game Slated for PSP; Follows New Hero
by Brian Leahy, Apr 21, 2010 12:00pm PDTJapanese gaming magazine Famitsu (via Kotaku) has revealed Project K, the new tentatively titled entry in the Yakuza franchise. Surprisingly, however, the game will be moving to the PSP.
Project K will star the younger Tatsuya Ukyo, not series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu.
The game is set in night spot Kamurocho, which is the in-game version of Tokyo's seedy Kabukicho," according to Kotaku.
Yakuza 3 was recently released in the United States for the PlayStation 3, over a year after the original Japanese release. Yakuza 4 was released a few weeks after that in Japan.
