Downloadable kit upgrades will be hitting the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 tomorrow, developer DICE has confirmed, though the series of events one will need to undertake to obtain the downloadable content will vary by region.

There are 4 kits, one for each class, specific unique uniforms and camouflaged weapons gives you a visual edge. With the 4 kit specific unique uniforms and the camouflaged SPECACT personal M16A2, UMP-45, MG3 and M95 SNIPER you have a visual edge on the Battlefield, showing that you're a force to be reckoned with. The pack also includes 12 new awards and 4 Achievements.
In the United States, "kit upgrades are only available on Xbox 360 using the Dr Pepper codes printed on special promotional cans." In Europe, the kit upgrades are only available as priced downloads. Each one can be purchased individually for 160 Microsoft Points / $2 or all four can be had in bundle form for 440 Microsoft Points / $5.50.

"The kit upgrades will also be coming to PS3 and PC a little later on," explains DICE.

So much for the "VIP Club", I won't be buying these, and don't particularly want new skins, but EA seem to rope you in to thinking you're going to get a load of free content with their project $10 but it seems it doesn't mean much.

I bet those 2 new modes on old maps/rehashed maps is going to be all we get. I feel sorry for the people that felt they actually needed to pay the extra $10 to get this stuff when they bought it used.

we didn't really pay an extra $10. We bought the game for regular price (or discounted, in my case), and then DIDN'T have to pay $10 for the map updates. Plus, I'm willing to bet that every time MW2 introduces paid maps, BFBC2 will be right there with free ones to match them.
