Bad Company 2 Slow PC Load Times Fixed by ATI Beta Drivers
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 15, 2010 7:00am PDTATI has released a new driver set, the Catalyst 10.4 Preview, aimed at fixing long level load times in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for players with Radeon series 5 video cards, available in Windows 7 and Vista and Windows XP flavours from FileShack.
ATI warns that these drivers won't work on HD5800 Eyefinity 6 products, while ATI's Terry Makedon says on Twitter that a fix for series 4800 cards is planned for next week.
Bad Company 2 recently received a second map pack and PC gamers apparently do still have Battlefield 1943 to look forward to, which EA says is due "soon."

Always guaranteed to have the glitchiest and buggiest software out there.
sigh, if only nVidia would catch up hardware wise I wouldn't feel so obligated to buy ATI. :p

The other is a dual core Athlon - a bit dated, with 4 gigs of the best DDR 1 ram i could find.
They both have GeForce 260s in them, and the one with the better ram and processor loads within 5-10 seconds of a map I feel as though i am almost always the first into the map.
the other one loads after like 1 minute and the gameplay is horribly sluggish. I feel as though processing power and ram are the important factors here.
