Evening Reading: FPS Fever!
by Brian Leahy, Apr 14, 2010 5:00pm PDTThis morning, Take-Two announced that 2K Marin is developing an FPS game based upon X-COM. The outrage was palpable.
I'm willing to give 2K Marin a chance here. I'm sure this is a move meant to echo Bethesda's work with the Fallout franchise, which led to the creation of Fallout 3.
Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of Todd Howard and Bethesda's work than 2K Marin's, but we'll see what the studio can cook up.

Partnering up with the local computer shop here, I went around to both Fred Meyers and our Walmart, and acquired every boxed copy of Torchlight in town (107 copies). Those 107 copies were given away free to the first 107 customers at said computer shop.
I plan to do the same for Grim Dawn, but just how remains to be seen as it might be digital only.

And how much did this cost? There have been numerous people asking for that simple piece of information and you haven't revealed it. At $19.95, you paid over $2000 for copies of this game to give away? I thought you were a struggling writer with a family to support who couldn't afford shit?
