Honors for the first fourth chair go to Billy Berghammer as he joins Garnett, Brian, and Jeff for the third episode of Weekend Confirmed. Of course they can't resist getting into the iPad launch and its games early on in Whatcha Been Playin? but there's plenty more including BioShock 2, Chime, and a new retro spot we're either calling "Forgotten Favorites" or "Cannata-ford a New Game" (cue the Rocky and Bullwinkle show theme). Four Minute Warning also continues to evolve, in fact, it too may need a new name. Let us know what you think. And in the Front Page excitement for the new Red Dead Redemption multiplayer trailer kicks off a rollicking news segment to wrap things up.

    Just thought I'd point something out that came to mind when you were talking about MMO's being spreadsheet number games. I think console players already are playing this type of game, but might not be aware of it. Take for example Bad Company 2. As I'm leveling up, I'm constantly watching my stats and how close I am getting to various pins and awards. If I know that I can get 10,000 points for 10 weapon silver stars, I'm doing the math in my head about what weapons I need to use to get the stars I need. So the game becomes not just about shooting as many people as I can, but playing with a purpose toward a goal.

    I'm not an MMO player, so maybe I'm way off base with this. But from my perspective, putting an MMO on a console, and asking me to play through the rock/paper/scissors scenario in my head isn't that much of a stretch from how I already play some of the games that are out there.
