Capcom Details Changes for Super Street Fighter 4
by Brian Leahy, Apr 06, 2010 6:00pm PDTThe Japanese developers behind Super Street Fighter IV discussed, at length, changes made to Guile, Dhalsim, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M.Bison. for the new version.
Shoryuken's Azrael translated the discussions with a boat load of awesome details for Street Fighter fans.
Of the discussed characters, all received buffs except for Sagat, who was nerfed slightly. The changes to Sagat are summarized by the developers:
Sagat was well known as a strong character, and we on the dev team felt so as well. This time around, we wanted to retain what he could do, so we went with reducing his damage output. Using the moves and combos he often utilized as a reference, we adjusted his attack power, and we also took another look at his jumping strong punch, which people felt was lopsidedly strong. Of course, you have to read your opponents movements in order to be able to hit them, but as his combo window for attacks was on the long side, we adjusted that as well.
It's a great read if you're looking forward to Super Street Fighter IV, which will be released on April 27 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. An arcade version was recently confirmed for a Japanese release, as well.

j.hk > s.hp > sb or
j.hk > c.mp > fk
both require much stricter timing than something like ryu's
j.hk > s.hp > srk
which you can kind of mash out
