I'm going to look for a TV for my fiancee and I for when we get married this summer and I'm looking to spend around $700 on a 40"+ display. My parents have a 42" Panasonic 1080p plasma display that I really like so I'm leaning towards plasma.
You guys have any ideas for me? I'm a big gamer, and my fiancee loves watching movies. Is 120hz or automotion just a gimmick that I shouldn't base a purchase on? Because in Best Buy last night they were playing the Halo Reach trailer on an LED display with automotion on and it just looked so fluid and awesome, but iirc, no one here likes it.

Also, the automotion thing should be OFF for gaming - it adds a significant amount of lag to the video display (games will still look smooth anyway.)
