Weekend Confirmed Episode 2

By Garnett Lee, Apr 02, 2010 12:30pm PDT Garnett, Brian, and Jeff hit the second Weekend Confirmed in full stride. Good thing, too, because it's a full one. Two packed segments of Whatcha Been Playin? include Super Street Fighter 4, Just Cause 2, Metro 2033, Alan Wake, and more. iPad arrives this week and it takes top spot in the Four Minute Warning queue. The Front Page with the rebirth of EGM, seemingly imminent announcement of Gears of War 3, and a PlayStation 3 update that removes Linux support in the news keeps the show rocking right to the end.

  • finally listened to the first two eps. great work so far guys - glad to have you back Garnett - glad to have you in a longer format Jeff - glad to meet ya Brian. looking forward to hearing from Billy this week, and the friends and colleagues who'll rotate through the 4th chair.

I would comment on the MW2 DLC. I didn't intend to buy it myself, but the friends that I play with all bought it, so I was forced into it to keep playing with them. That said, if you break it down, it is only $3 per map. The way I look at game pricing is how does it compare to movies? $3 is 1/3 of going to a movie - and for argument's sake I'll say the movie is 3 hours. Am I going to get more that 1 hour of play out of each map? most certainly.

all you need to do now is figure out a new killer sound effect for 4 min warning.
