Dante's Inferno 'St. Lucia' DLC in Screenshots

3
The next batch of downloadable content for Dante's Inferno arrives in under a month--April 29, to be exact--and to make sure we don't forget, publisher Electronic Arts passed along some new screenshots of both 'The Trials of St. Lucia' and the 'Dark Forest' DLC.

The as-yet-unpriced 'Trials of St. Lucia' add-on brings a new playable character--St. Lucia herself--and online coopertaive play to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the hellish beat 'em up, plus a gameplay editor so you can make your own trials.

As for 'Dark Forest,' the $4.99 / 400 Microsoft Point prequel level arrived in early March, though those who bought a new PlayStation 3 copy of Dante's Inferno got it free.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Was this on 360? I can;t see any reason to get this on PS3..seeing as how GOW 3 is out.

It was on 360, but there are plenty of reviews out there that pan it as derivative of God of War. Here's Ryan Davis' 2-star review on Giant Bomb: http://www.giantbomb.com/dantes-inferno/61-24827/

And Ryan Davis' 4-star review of God of War III: http://www.giantbomb.com/god-of-war-iii/61-20461/

Consider that Visceral themselves marketed this game as "Dead Space meets God of War IN HELL!!" ( http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/58478 )

But if the game is great, then who cares? I don't know if it is, never played it, just saying.

copying greatness shouldn't be a bad thing :(

The reason to get it on PS3 is that for the same price as the 360 version, you get the first DLC included in the game, and I think another costume or something. The "Divine Edition" was PS3-only.

It's still a pretty good game. Even if it is a God of War clone. It could've been SO much worse. It's got some rough patches, and you can just spam the fuck out of one ability and win, but I still enjoyed it enough to beat it in a few hours.
