Mount & Blade: Warband Release Celebrated With Trailer, Trial
by Alice O'Connor, Mar 31, 2010 9:40am PDTTaleworlds' PC medieval warfare RPG Mount & Blade: Warband is released today so, in celebration, the developer has unleashed a launch trailer and a 532MB unlockable demo you can find over on FileShack, which can unlock into the full game client.
Characters in the trial mode limit are limited to level seven, putting a serious crimp on their rampaging and ruling. Warband was originally intended to be an expansion revamping Mount & Blade and introducing multiplayer but become a sequel. Warband can be had for $30 from the usual digital distributors or direct from Taleworlds.
The dedicated server is also up on FileShack, if you fancy hosting your own battles.

I understand there is multiplayer, but is it co-op? team-based? is the multiplayer just battles or can you play the game in parallel in the same world?

Battle (basically survival mode)
Conquest (where one team defends two objectives and the other tries to destroy them)
