Guitar Hero and Band Hero April DLC: Play Free Bird!

April will see surely the most-requested song of all time coming to Guitar Hero and Band Hero as downloadable content--Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. There will also be tracks by Fall Out Boy, Blur, The All-American Rejects, Saving Abel and Phoenix if you don't want to play some Skynrd, man, plus the Black Sabbath pack delayed from February.

Individual tracks will cost $2 (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) a pop while the track packs will run you $5.49 (440 MS Points, 550 Wii Points) each.

    Welcome to Guitar Hero 2 (yes it was probably a cover...but we've been able to play that song since then...)

      That was a cover.

      But the original track was included in GH: Smash Hits, and you can export those tracks to GH5 (although I guess nobody did, which is why they're selling it now).

      The level design on it *sucked* compared to GH2. I imagine this is the same.

      I'd love to get Free Bird in Rock Band. Harmonix knows how to lay a song out right.

      I like how Activision has resorted to grabbing a song 2 more times..... its a good song but man they are pathetic!
