New GTR Coming via SimBin

Independent developer SimBin will be returning to the race track in 2011 with an all-new entry in its GTR series, it announced today.

According to the company, the as-yet-untitled game will "take gamers back to the roots of SimBin style racing games, while offering a brand new take on the basic concept of 'easy to drive, hard to master'" as well as " take a significant step up in both realism, visuals, and sheer immersion, offering players a completely new and unique experience based on the known and award winning simulation philosophy of SimBin."

Neither platforms nor a publisher for the new title have been revealed--the GTR series has traditionally been released on PC--with the company noting that the game will offer "multiple new innovative online features" and a "very comprehensive DLC plan."

"offering players a completely new and unique experience" - i don't see this statement being fulfilled. its still a sim racing game.

it may be an awesome sim racing game, but new and unique? i doubt that.

if my comment wasn't clear, i mean there are only so many things you could do to a racing sim game before it becomes a 3rd person combat space flight simulator.

I'm guessing you wouldn't notice any difference between stunts and rfactor
