There are two schools of though on this, one being they had no desire to offer a double lifetime warranty on cards that ran that hot, and the other being they were being punished by Nvidia for teaming up with ATI in the past.

My current tv is a 27" citizen or some shitty brand CRT. Its ok for sd stuff but yeah.
I left my old machine behind for my parents when I stopped in there to live for a bit and decided it wasnt worth moving with me (barton 2500, 1.5 gig ram, 9500pro). All i have is my busted ass dell laptop from 2005 (d610 running windows 7 woot). The trackpad doesnt really work so I have to use the nub but aside from that its ok for surfing and such.
So, I was talking to the local TV store and they have two TCP46S1 left in stock. That's the midrange plasma from panasonic last year with the good neopdp panel. Because its so old I can probably talk them down a fair bit in price.

I used to have this FF toolbar that had 3 buttons. The first two would go up and down a numbered image series - so if you were looking at boobs16.jpg, it would go to boobs17.jpg or down to boobs15.jpg .
There was also a function that laid out all of the images in a single page.
Does anyone know what this is?

In Windows 7, is mouse acceleration turned on by default? I just switched to an MX518 after years of using an MS Intellimouse Optical, and something just doesn't feel right about it. I'm trying to set my MX518 to replicate the feeling of how I used the Intellimouse Optical and it's giving me fits. When I used the old mouse I just plugged it in and went with default settings on everything. Been doing that since Windows 2000 and the feeling has never changed. Now I get this new fangled thing and it actually requires adjustment :(

Just pulled the trigger on the Legendary Fan Edition. Anything I can do to help out Iron Lore vets is money well spent, in my opinion and had they allowed me I would have paid a lot more than $48 for it.

I bought Mirror's edge about a year ago and I'm playing through it right now for the second time. Damn this game is really, really exhilarating. I don't think there is another game out there that conveys the sense of speed and height nearly as well as this. The situations with forced combat are a little annoying, but overall the gameplay, atmosphere, art, everything screams unique and Fun. I really, really hope there is a full fledged sequel to this game.

Looking into Summer vacation and split between May (as we're looking at getting some "summer" skiing in and avoiding the ski camps would be nice) and June (warmer, actually summer, oh and our Anniversary).
Would love to pull off the Ski in the morning, windsurf in the afternoon, brew pub in the evening hat trick. :)

50 bucks for 4 year warranty with g15 demo (2 months in store demo unit) or 150 for same plan on new s1
Thoughts? I've never bought demo electronics, any horror stories? Is 2 months on full brightness bad for a plasma to the point I don't want it?

What are your top 5 gaming choices that I should pick up? I have Stalker:SoC and Stalker:CS, which I will install. Maybe I should see what this Crysis thing is all about?
