EA: Battlefield 1943 Due on PC 'Soon'
by Chris Faylor, Mar 30, 2010 1:00pm PDTThe long-coming PC release of Battlefield 1943 is coming "soon," publisher Electronic Arts recently affirmed whilst trumpeting console sales of the downloadable effort.
Priced at $15, the multiplayer-only shooter hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in July 2009, with the PC version then expected to arrive in September. Later on, developer DICE pushed the PC release into 2010 so that it could "ensure the features and functionality that PC players have come to expect from Battlefield on PC are not missing."
Since then, DICE has released Battlefield: Bad Company 2--a full-fledged entry in the franchise, complete with both single-player and multiplayer modes--so it will be interesting to see how a multiplayer-only entry with four maps will be received.

Honesty, it may be harsh but it's better than this bullshit. Yes I'm grateful that you're even considering doing something for my pirating thieving self, however, my $15 is the same as xbox gamer's $15 .. or is it? If they believe they put more effort in to PC game and it warrens a higher price, charge more, people will pay more for quality product. But no, we'll get the same buggy game (as with all DICE games on their release) 8 months after the console gamers.
In any case ...
Does this have lower system requirements than BC2? I may get it to keep me happy 'till I buy a new PC so I can properly play BC2.
