EA: Battlefield 1943 Due on PC 'Soon'

The only reason I might accidentally buy this game is because it has controllable AIR-PLANES !!

I find their story hard to believe ... "ensure the features and functionality that PC players have come to expect from Battlefield on PC are not missing.".

Honesty, it may be harsh but it's better than this bullshit. Yes I'm grateful that you're even considering doing something for my pirating thieving self, however, my $15 is the same as xbox gamer's $15 .. or is it? If they believe they put more effort in to PC game and it warrens a higher price, charge more, people will pay more for quality product. But no, we'll get the same buggy game (as with all DICE games on their release) 8 months after the console gamers.

In any case ...

Does this have lower system requirements than BC2? I may get it to keep me happy 'till I buy a new PC so I can properly play BC2.

IMO this has missed it's window now that BC2 is out.

I don't understand what they're trying to do here. Split the community? Are there two separate niches on PC gaming? How much are they going to support it (if even so)?

Needs some El Alamein, Market Garden and Bocage!

I was kind of hoping they would release it as a bonus for BFBC2 preorders or an expansion pack (kind of like the 1942 conversion in Battlefield Vietnam) if you already owned it.

The latter felt more real since in the game there was a WWII portion.

I'll buy it I guess. I hope that the server browser is better than BC2's though.
