New APB Screens Show Action, HUD

All Points Bulletin (APB) is currently in closed beta on the PC. The persistent-online action game pits cops against robbers and is being designed by the co-creator of the original Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown.

These new screenshots show some staged action as well as some shots of the game's HUD.

The game will be released on the PC and be published by Electronic Arts through its EA Partners program, which was announced at E3 2009. An Xbox 360 version was planned, but it seems to have fallen off of the radar.

Yeh i got inot the beta. Quite honestly the best MMO ever. I cant say much other than i got in. But look some of their podcasts up, notably the early ones. This game is sick! Seriously, customization of every detail in the face? I created my brother and we both agree it looks like him :D

So, aside from shooting up the town and driving over people, what else can you do in this GTA MMO? Is the game world as full featured as GTA? Are going to see EVE like persistence as gangs fight for territory? Can the cops fight amongst themselves?
