Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Trailer Shows Future War
by Alice O'Connor, Mar 26, 2010 7:10am PDTUbisoft has released a swish new Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier cinematic trailer, blending footage of real actors and places with CGI to show off its vision of near-future warfare with technology including adaptive camouflage and combat bots.
The PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions are by Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter dev Ubisoft Paris, while Wii, PSP and DS versions are being developed elsewhere.
Future soldier is due to hit PS3 and 360 in the 2010 holiday season and Ubisoft says all other versions are out before Christmas 2010, though it's uncertain whether this applies to the PC too as Ubisoft cryptically said it "will tell more about the PC version later."

Look at how the United States currently takes down high risk targets like this. Sure, they send in soldiers to do the job at times. But if there is a risk for high friendly casualties, they send in the Predators and take down targets with precision missile strikes.
Given how successful this technique has been for the U.S. in modern day warfare, I can't help but think it would be even more successful in the future where this Ghost Recon is set.
I've always held Ghost Recon in high esteem for its use of realistic tactics and gameplay, especially the earlier PC versions, and its a shame that this iteration doesn't extrapolate future warfare based on these values.
