GOG.com Adding Atari to Digital Catalog
by Brian Leahy, Mar 25, 2010 10:20am PDTGood Old Games, a DRM-free digital distribution service for older PC games, will be adding titles from publisher Atari in the coming weeks.
Outcast, Master of Orion, and Master of Magic are the first titles named in the new deal, which should begin showing up on the service in April.
"This is a great step forward for GOG.com and DRM-free digital distribution," said Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Projekt and GOG.com. "This deal is really just the first step in what we expect will be a long and fruitful relationship. Atari has a tremendous number of cult classics within their grasp, and we hope to sign these in a near future!"
GOG is also giving away 10 free games through Twitter to commemorate the announcement. Users must "Re-Tweet" the message to be entered.

Also, with Atari being the current holders of the D&D license and Interplay owning the publishing rights, and both of them being on GoG, chances of all the Infinity Engine games (Planescape, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale) finally appearing on the service may still be slim but is one step closer to reality.
Does Atari hold the rights to the Microprose library then?
If so, gimme Darklands plzkthx!
