Jimi Hendrix DLC Headed to Rock Band, Starting Next Week With Full 'Axis: Bold As Love' Album

5
Rock Band is to begin adding music from guitar god Jimi Hendrix as downloadable content, Rolling Stone reports, starting next week with almost all of the The Jimi Hendrix Experience's 1967 album 'Axis: Bold As Love.'

Bar the intro track 'EXP,' all of Axis will be hitting Rock Band as DLC tracks alongside the posthumously-released single 'Valleys of Neptune' on March 30 for Xbox 360 and Wii then April 1 for PlayStation 3. The Hendrix albums 'Are You Experienced,' 'Electric Ladyland' and 'First Rays of the New Rising Sun'--a recreation of the album Hendrix was writing at the time of his death--will follow at yet-unknown later dates.

The rumoured The Beatles: Rock Band-style Hendrix game--once supposedly confirmed by Hendrix's estate manager but denied by Harmonix--apparently might still happen, while replica instruments and a Hendrix avatar have also been discussed.

Pricing has yet to be announced for the first batch of DLC, listed below, but it's likely they will cost $2 (160 Microsoft Points) each and also come in a bulk discount track pack.

"Up From the Skies"
"Spanish Castle Magic"
"Wait Until Tomorrow"
"Ain't No Telling"
"Little Wing"
"If 6 Was 9"
"You Got Me Floatin'"
"Castles Made of Sand"
"She's So Fine"
"One Rainy Wish"
"Little Miss Lover"
"Bold As Love"
"Valleys of Neptune"
