Evening Reading: The PSP is Five Years-Old
Soon, UMD load-times and constant firmware updates turned me away from the PSP until the release of the PSP Go, which I use often to play Final Fantasy Tactics and Guilty Gear.
I just wish the PlayStation Network released games on time. Where's my BlazBlue, Sony?
Also, props to Alex Wayne for the latest version of LatestChatty for the iPhone, which now supports sending Shackmessages. Also, if you're on Android, check out stonedonkey's ShackDroid for all your mobile Chatty needs.

Game of the Evening - First-Person Shooters:
Blood: "It's got everything you could ask for in an old-school shooter. Fast-paced, awesome weapons, lots of explosions and red goo, and awesome level design in both layout and style. Interestingly, it inspired a cool manga (Priest), which in turn inspired a two-part Dream Theater song (In the Presence of Enemies)." (Orange Pylon)

Gametrailers' review:

It's a turn based strategy game. Each unit's movement points are expressed as a bar that decreases as you run around. When you attack, it controls like a third person shooter but resolves like a typical strategy game. You can level up each class to make them more effective, each soldier has unique personalities, skills, and traits that you can take into account in addition to their classes, and you can replay various maps to grind experience, play out different strategies, or just have fun.

Anyone that doesn't like Valkyria Chronicles just doesn't like games. It's fun as hell and it's just downright gorgeous.
My only real complaint about it is that darn tank mission (you know the one I'm talking about!) because it's about the only one in the game based on trial and error rather than focusing more on strategy. You just can't really predict the path of that tank. I got lucky for the first two or three rounds and I was fortunate that I deployed the troops I deployed in the formation that I had, but I still wound up reloading way more than I should have because of an unforeseen one hit kill cheap shot.
So yea, when you get to that mission (and you'll know when you're there!), just use a strat guide or check out youtube or something. Everything else is just so awesome. :(
It's only $20/new now, too! There's no reason NOT to get it.

nah don't worry about it, I have a loaner from a friend so I can play God of War 3, which is the main reason I wanted to buy one. I kind of want to wait and see if the mysterious April 1 announcement happens or not now! otherwise I will pick one up whenever I can. I appreciate the offer though, thanks dude.
