Famous Devs Create Own WarioWare D.I.Y. Games
by Brian Leahy, Mar 22, 2010 1:00pm PDTNintendo has tapped some big-name developers to create minigames for WarioWare D.I.Y. (DS) and WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase (WiiWare). Players can create their own WarioWare-style minigames on the Nintendo DS version and share them.
The developers and studios tapped to create minigames are:
- Masahiro Sakurai (Super Smash Bros.)
- Yoshio Sakamoto (Metroid)
- Pixel aka Daisuke Amaya (Cave Story)
- 5TH Cell (Scribblenauts)
- WayForward (A Boy and his Blob)
- Gaijin Games (BIT.TRIP series)
- Team Meat (Super Meat Boy)
WarioWare D.I.Y. will be released for the Nintendo DS via retail outlets on Sunday, March 28. The downloadable WiiWare Showcase will then be available on March 29.
