Today, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift was confirmed for US console release. This is great news for fighting game fans. The original BlazBlue had a good number of balance issues and some of the systems weren't great. BB:CS is re-tooled and re-balanced along with new characters.
While we only have a summer 2010 release date to go by, this should be good for when the release hype from Super Street Fighter IV dies down. Too bad BlazBlue was bumped off of the event list at EVO2K10. Oh well.
I've got a pile of games to play this weekend: Final Fantasy XIII, Heavy Rain, Metro 2033, God of War III, StarCraft II, Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising, Supreme Commander 2, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. What are you playing?

I have this problem where when I run, my right foot sticks out to the right too much. It's caused, at least in my case, by playing another sport where this is actually beneficial. Unfortunately, in running it's hurting my knee. anyone here have experience with this and some possible solutions on changing it?

I've been rewatching these again tonight and it's a tough call. tGtBatU is just epic, Fistful is basically a remake of Yojimbo but with Eastwood so how could you lose? But, I think I have to go with a Few Dollars More just because Indio is such a crazy psycho mofo :D

DO NOT GO INTO THE SILVERITE MINES WITHOUT MAKING A SAVE STATE FIRST. You lose all the equipment you are wearing when you enter the mine and the NPC that has it doesn't always fucking spawn. In effect, you lose all your gear. Even if you have a save state, there is no guarantee that reloading and re-doing the entire fucking mine will spawn your equipment. I rage quit at that point but I do have a save state to go back to. I'll try unequiping all my shit before going in but this entire debacle is retarded.

The president of Slovakia has vetoed a controversial patriotism law passed recently by parliament. The law, which among other things would require schools to play the Slovak national anthem every Monday, was due to come into force on 1 April...
Schools in particular complained they did not have enough money to pay for flags, coats of arms and other symbols of Slovak statehood that the law says must adorn every classroom. Neither, said the schools, were there enough loudspeakers to play the national anthem every Monday morning.
Wow. Different culture, but over here in the USA, even in Liberalachusetts, every classroom had an American flag, and everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance in unison every morning, loudspeakers or no loudspeakers.
I also noticed that in one of the Negative Gamer NGCasts, Wardrox and Halfleft mentioned that they found it interesting to hear The Star-Spangled Banner at the opening of a sporting event, and that they didn't know the lyrics to God Save the Queen. I was a little surprised; "Wait, you're both English, and you don't know the lyrics to God Save the Queen?!"

I just spent an hour or so playing and it feels very polished. There is lots of forced (kind of) class interaction. And it works pretty well. I guess it's not really forced but it is highly encouraged and your team will do better if they work together.
Each class gives off an aura that helps teammates. One class gives off a armor buff, another an accuracy buff, and another a critical hit buff, and one other a damage buff. Whenever you are in close proximity to a teammate you get that buff (they don't stack though).
Plus each class gets a special skill. The Trapper (who is basically the sniper class) can set traps. The Blaster (think engy) can throw dynamite sticks, the gunslinger can do "fanning" where he shoots really fast, and the deputy can spot targets (all teammates can see them for a time).
Not terribly deep but it has potential and the maps are fun and it has a cool western vibe going for it. Recommended.

This comes on the same day as GameStop CEO Dan DeMatteo said using DLC to dissuade used game buyers “[isn’t] compelling†because they’re usually price conscious and wouldn’t shell out for the DLC anyway.
This also seems at odds with the previous stated intentions of "free day one DLC" that is unlockable via a code included with new boxed games, which are also offered for $10 or $15 for those gamers without the one-time codes (including the buyers of used games). When I am playing GoW3 I run into blurring problems. It's especially noticeable in Hades Palace and mostly shows on darker colors. Whenever the camera has to move all the textures tend to blur and lose all sharpness until the camera or Kratos stops moving. It's fairly annoying as creates a flickering effect that pulls my eyes away from where ever they should be focused.
I've tried disabling Auto-Motion plus on the TV, I've tried forcing the PS3 into 1080i instead of 720p but it doesn't change anything. I've adjusted everything setting I can think of on the TV but nothing seems to help. Any ideas shack?
