8
The 15th Anniversary Edition of Another World (aka Out of this World) is now available on GOG.com.

The adventure game, originally released in April of 2006, is a remastered version of the original, which was released in 1991. Included in the $9.99 package is a 20-minute 'Making Of' video.

Title title has a reputation for being extremely difficult and completely awesome.

It's hilarious that the 'making of' video is 20 minute, a video walkthrough of the game on youtube is the same length.

Yep, those adventure games were technically short back then. They made them hard as nails to keep you dying over and over. I don't think I ever beat Flashback, Out of This World, Oddworld 1&2, Heart of Darkness or any other games of their ilk. I believe that the official genre name for such games is: "Me Likey Kill Joo"

I beat Oddworld 2. It's probably my biggest gaming acheivement to date.

Oddworld 1 is still harder than shit.

i beat heart of darkness not too long ago on the ps2 (woo to backwards compatibility) and the game was not fun after a while. it felt like a final fantasy where i was playing to get to the next fmv checkpoint.

Heart of Darkness was bad :( It was a sequel that wasn't supposed to be made and totally shat on the conventions set in the first one.

I sure as hell never beat Out of this World. I did try and I did love it though.

I literally beat Out of this World last month via DOSBox. Of course I needed to watch the walkthrough video to see what I was doing wrong in the game back when I was 10. Stupid caves and water puzzle!

yea, you need to do everything in a very specific order and stand in the right places

Finishing Flashback was a pretty feasible task as long as you didn't set the difficulty level on "Hard", which really made it a challenge.
