Polish developer City Interactive is cutting to the chase. There are three things people like in videogames: snipers, ghosts, and warriors. Imagine the cataclysmic combination of all three in a single piece of interactive entertainment! Enter Sniper: Ghost Warrior!

The game will feature:

  • "Top of the line ballistic system that accounts for environmental effects like wind and gravity. Track the bullet 'trace' as it cuts through the air towards the target. Modern snipers and their spotters rely upon this 'trace' to make adjustments."
  • "Non-linear gameplay allows players to decide how they wish to approach a situation. Challenges may be completed in several different sequences, giving players the freedom to explore."
  • "Variety of mission types from long-range sniping and close quarter combat, to booby-trapping and infiltration".

City Interactive has already attempted the sniper genre with its 2008 release Sniper: Art of Victory. Sniper: Ghost Warrior will be released in Q2 2010 for the PC and Xbox 360.

The first thing I think of when I hear this name is Ghost Recon: Future Warrior. Just reading this made me think of it as a bit of a cash in.
