First Fallout: New Vegas Screenshots Appear

33
It's not exactly clear exactly where this batch of Fallout: New Vegas screenshots came from--they surfaced via Duck and Cover, Joystiq and others over the weekend--but they're definitely legitimate, having already appeared in several print publications.

So, without further ado, I present to you geckos, heart-shaped glasses, and Mr. T-Rex:

Helmed not by Fallout 3 developer Bethesda but rather Obsidian--founded by veterans of now-defunct Fallout and Fallout 2 maker Black Isle--Fallout: New Vegas will bring its post-apocalyptic action-RPG antics to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.

I feel the same "meh" seeing these as I did when I saw them in the mags. I dunno if it's the palette or what, but the shots look terribly mediocre... maybe I'm just spoiled after playing Fallout 3 with graphics mods.

funny thing is that it looks exactly like Fallout 3 with graphics mods like Fellout for example - the sky has the same colour.

Yeah I didn't like the option to remove the gray filter in that mod, the blue sky kind of ruins the whole "wasteland" thing.

Same here. And the dinosauer-like creatures and gay mutants are bad too.

Sorry, but yeah... those are geckos from Fallout 2. Actually Fallout 2 had a gay mutant in it, as well, now that I think about it. Or maybe bi.
