Ubisoft Unveils 'Pure Futbol' Soccer Game
by Chris Faylor, Mar 04, 2010 2:00pm PSTBoasting a "new and unique vision of soccer video games," Ubisoft today unveiled Pure Futbol, a new five-on-five soccer game being developed by Ubisoft Vancouver.
An over-the-shoulder camera view and "no referees, no rules -- just soccer" are said to help Pure Futbol focus on "the intense, physical and spectacular aspects of the sport."
Coming along for the ride are 230 elite soccer players, 17 international teams, and 17 legendary players, with gamers able to make their own custom player and then compete in single-player or four-person offline / one-versus-one online multiplayer.
Though no platforms were named in the announcement, Ubisoft confirmed to Shacknews that Pure Futbol is "coming out on 360, PS3 and PC (NOT PSP, as the product site currently indicates)" in May. A trailer and some team renders were also provided.
