CryENGINE 3 Tech Demo Video is Pretty
by Brian Leahy, Mar 01, 2010 11:00am PSTAdmit it, you love looking at videos showing off lighting features in graphics engines. Especially when that engine is Crytek's CryENGINE 3, currently being used for the upcoming Crysis 2.Crysis 2, the shooter follow-up to the original title, is slated for release in late 2010 and will mark the franchise's first appearance on consoles.

Lets hope they've focused on some gameplay. Tech demos aren't fun to play.

I like these tech videos too. Saw this one some days ago and it's really incredible what Crytek is achieving in real-time graphics, with GI, stereoscopic 3D, and all that.
There's a rumor that Crytek is developing Crysis 2 and 4 more games.

It runs really fast too, 300 fps on my old radeon. And the illumination is actually more than the cryengine version, imo.

I'm two generations of GFX cards beyond the release of Crysis and I still can't play that at the highest settings.
