$12 for Batman is hard to pass up, but I want to know what I'm getting into.

I believe GFWL-purchased games work similar to Steam in that you can download them through the client now and in the future, provided GFWL sticks around.
But yeah $12 isn't the end of the world if GFWL goes titsup.
