Split/Second Release Dates Announced

Disney Interactive Studios have announced the release dates for Black Rock Studio's Split/Second, an explosion-filled racer for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Why do I write "dates"? Because Europeans will be getting the title a few days later than those of us in North America.

Split/Second will be released on May 18, 2010 in North America and on May 21, 2010 in Europe. I got to play a single track at E3 2009 and let me tell you, it's a whole lot of fun. Here's a trailer:

That looks gimmicky and incredibly frustrating. "Yeah, you WERE winning until that massive shower of 10 tons of debris dropped in front of you, invisible with the massive amounts of particle effects and bloom on it."
