        no. The two addons are reactor and tech lab. Reactor allows you to build two units simultaneously, but you need the tech lab to be able to build more advanced units. So a barracks with a reactor can only build marines, but can build two marines at a time. A barracks with a tech lab can build marines, marauders, reapers, and ghosts (ghosts only if you also have a ghost academy). Tech labs are selectable and allow you to research things depending on their parent building. A barracks tech lab, for instance, can research marine shields (+10 hp), stimpacks, and reaper speed.
