Before making the wizard-licious platformer Trine, developer Frozenbyte crafted the top-down PC sci-fi shooter series Shadowgrounds--the two entries of which are currently discounted by 75% on Steam, making the complete series only $4.99.

Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds Survivor

The sale on Shadowgrounds marks this week's "Midweek Madness" discount, and will run until 7PM EST / 4PM PST on Thursday, February 18. Also on sale is SOE's PC MMO Star Wars Galaxies, which will be $9.99 / 50% Off until Friday, February 19.

Shadowgrounds survivor is a lot of fun. The physx in it make it alot more than than the first shadowgrounds IMO. But this game is being clearanced at EBgames for $.01 right now and its code is activatable(actually requires) steam. I bought up all the copies I could at different ebgames and have gifted them, but you can probably still find it since they are usually late at labeling them correctly. Great game.

Wasn't this cheaper last month during the holiday sale, like 80% off?

$1.99/$2.99 separately, or $3.99 for the pack, I think, and not a daily deal but just as the 2-week long discount. Not much of a difference, but I've still got enough of a backlog that I don't think I'll be jumping on this sale just because it's cheap when I know it has been cheaper (and will be again). And isn't the real Alien Breed remake coming out soon anyway?
