by Alice O'Connor, Feb 15, 2010 6:53am PSTSupreme Commander developer Gas Powered Games today announced Kings and Castles, "an epic real-time strategy game" for PC and unspecified 'next-gen' consoles.
Described as a "one-of-a-kind experience," Kings and Castles casts players as "one of three powerful kings who are vying for control of an all-new, original fantasy world." GPG also boasts of "the ability to zoom to any level, incredible maps, and eye-popping visuals that will run on a wide range of systems."
Gas Powered promises to regularly take fans behind the scenes through Twitter and a weekly video blog. "Synergy will be leveraged, and paradigms will be established," said GPG founder Chris Taylor. "More importantly, buzzwords will be utilized."
For the first video blog, Taylor reveals the secrets of the video game design creative process and asks if viewers think he's "cracked-out" after petting his cock on camera.

King Aruther came out in October 2009 i think and it's basically Total War in a Fantasy setting. Here's a vid

Now this game from Chris Taylor sounds like another attempt with perhaps the primary difference being to merge the strategic map with the tactical via continuous zoom. That could be a very interesting thing i must say. Imagine instead of "turns" that your troop movements were all real time on the world and at any time you could then zoom into a battle that was about to take place and take control of it in real time as the rest of the game ocntinues to move in real time.
