I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this. I thought it would be another ODST. Short, half-assed, lacking in nearly every department, and being sold at full price. This actually makes me happy how much time was put into it to give some new life to halo.

I'll admit that I haven't been a big halo fanatic in terms of the games but do enjoy the books, so for them to make the changes that they have to the game gets me interested again. Only thing I can really hope for is that they didn't just use the reference to "Reach" as a gimmick and more that it leads up to the final mission being how the first book ended, nothing would please me more to play out that climatic mission.

Maybe there is hope for Halo franchise after all. I'm glad to see developers looking at a different direction this time, I hope the public multiplayer beta will show off some good things from the game...

So Halo finally catches up to the rest of the gaming industry? It sounds like they want a hybrid of battlefield/mass effect. I thought boasting about polygons was over and done with in 2005.

WOW, that was fantastic!

Finally finally they updated the engine good for them, it is gona make a massive difference.

The fact that its gona be a sandbox game could not be a better direction for the series well done.

Its funny I may be very close to what I predicted, maybe I am the chosen one "I am the one" :

Halo games never turn out to be exactly what I wanted them to be, there's always a little bit of disappointment, but I can't help but be excited for this.

It sounds like the Halo game I have wanted since the first, focusing on the big open battles, bringing the elites and the Halo 1 pistol back, and SPRINT (yay!). I'm going to be keeping an eye on this one, but a cautious eye.
