Heavy Rain Demo Released on PlayStation 3

great.. interactive movie.. I guess?

All these comments saying preordered? I don't understand this at all. Demo wad good, not great, and they are only giving us a small slice of the f'ing game. Like all games, and especially new IP, I'm waiting for reviews and most likely a price drop in the very near future, like most games it seems lately. Not to mention, nobody will have a problem getting their hands on this, just like the abundance of Uncharted 2 at stores.

This is probably another one of few games that make me curious about a PS3.

This is one of those games where I don't want to play the demo because I want to walk into this game fresh. Indigo prophecy stands as my favorite game of all time. And I have been hardcore gaming since Atari 2600 launch day.

If only this was a new entry in The Longest Journey series.

I liked it, but I probably won't buy until the price starts to drop, no hurry

Much more better then i thought. The fight in the hotel room was sooo exciting. I was like "Come on, show an easy button to press!, Come on beat him up allready!" Pure awesomeness.

Looking so much forward to it.

I wonder if they put the only good part of the game in the demo like they did with Indigo Prophecy.

Played it. The demo was too short in my view. Only about 15 minutes to complete. I do like that the game doesn't really hold your hand.
Graphics were good, and voice-acting was stellar so far.
Pre-ordered and looking forward to it.

Hey did any other athsmatics hold down the button for the inhaler instinctively just to be sure he holds his breath (proper use of a ventolin inhaler)

Played through the demo and figured I would offer some thoughts:

Pros:

- Graphics/Sound - Very good graphics, the sound was incredible on a 5.1 system with rain coming down all around you. Very good atmosphere to the game.
- Voice acting - Better than I thought it was going to be from the trailers.
- Controls - The controls, while awkward at first are actually pretty usable.
- Story - Well, in the short two sections they included, the story look like it would be compelling.
- Animation - Very well done, very smooth.

Cons:

- Controls - It gets pros/cons. Cons for the learning curve involved and the Wii style up/down movements. The rest of it actually works well.
- Dark - I had to crank the gamma up to see anything in the crime scene.


All in all I am glad that I pre-ordered this game. It looks to be the first real good story-driven adventure game I have seen in a very long time. I love the work Quantic Dreams has done and this looks to be no different. Release date can't come soon enough.

God I can't wait to get out of work.
