Final Fantasy 13 Xbox 360 Bundle Unveiled

Microsoft has announced a $399 Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII bundle, due to be released alongside the latest entry in Square Enix's long-running RPG series on March 9.

The Xbox 360 'FINAL FANTASY XIII' Special Edition Bundle packs an Xbox 360 with a 250gb hard drive, two wireless controllers, a headset, "exclusive downloadable avatar items" plus of course a copy of FFXIII--in this case the standard edition of the game.

Limited edition FFXIII Xbox 360 faceplates by character designer Tetsuya Nomura were also announced, "only available promotionally in fixed quantities across select retailers in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand."

We can now rule out the possibility of a similar PlayStation 3 bundle, as Microsoft says the Xbox 360 "is the only console outside of Japan to be bundled with the game."

The news lends credence to rumours of a similar Splinter Cell: Conviction bundle with a black Xbox 360 that were dug up by Ars Technica's reliable mole, who detailed this FF13 bundle precisely earlier today alongside revealing the SCC package.

Like a few random comments on the Shack is a measure of successful marketing.

I wasn't measuring anything, nor do I believe these forums have any bearing on sales. I was stating an opinion; which is what forums are for. Let us see how many systems will be sold under this new SKU.
