Crackdown 2 Screenshots Issued, Pre-Order Bonus Revealed

Microsoft's X10 event has seen the release of new screenshots for Crackdown 2 as well as the revelation of the super-powered sandbox crime-buster's pre-order bonuses.

Left, punching fools. Right, the golden pre-order armour.

Pre-ordering will grant players a virtual wardrobe boost in the shape of "four exclusive suits of Agency-Issue armor," in stylish "Gold, Brushed, Red and Blue Metal" tones.

Developed not by creator Realtime Worlds but rather newcomer Ruffian, Crackdown 2 is slated to hit Xbox 360 in the first half of this year, preceded by a demo.

Played the first one, wasn't interested enough to play through to the end IMO. Didn't think it did well enough to get a sequel...

Looks like the new developer missed the mark on the visuals. Seems like they tried to make it half realism half crackdown and fucked it up royal. I become very cynical when it comes to sequels by other developers. They almost never go in the same direction as the original.

Unless I get special guns, armor, cars, something besides a "skin" for my guy I don't care. Mass effect2 did preorder "right" by giving the player something worth a damn. This isn't worth the extra $$$ to preorder and buy it.
