Samurai Shodown SEN, the eleventh game in SNK Playmore's popular arcade-fighting series, will be released exclusively for the Xbox 360. XSEED Games announced in a press release today that it will publish the North American release this Spring.

"We are ecstatic to have our first offering on Xbox 360 be the latest iteration of such a highly-regarded franchise," said XSEED Games President, Jun Iwasaki. This latest Japanese weapons-based fighting game features online play, and is the first 3D game in the series.

Formerly known as 'Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny,' the newly christened Samurai Shodown SEN slices an exclusive path to the Xbox 360 this Spring.

Man I would prefer a new one built from the ground up with HD sprites.

You want to end up waiting 4-5 years for a final product that will be missing characters, moves and features like King of Fighters XII did?

My feelings echoed this thread - "man, it should be 2D" quickly followed by "oh wait I forgot about KoF"

but if it aint a SamSho2 remake then its pretty much worthless.

Yeah, though 4 (and even 3) had their good points, and the first was very good on its own merits (its just that 2 was better in every way).
