Morning Discussion
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 10, 2010 5:00am PST"You shouldn't do that," she sighed. "It'll hurt."
"Nonsense! You just need to concentrate." He pulled the trigger and a bullet tore through his thigh, embedding itself in the walnut-effect laminate flooring. She shook her head.
She started, "I did say..." but trailed off as he gritted his teeth, took aim then fired again.
His lower leg flopped to the ground as his thighbone splintered and gave out. He furrowed his brow and went to raise the revolver again but paused. The damned mole on his knee didn't seem so much as troubled by the whole ordeal, let alone removed.
"Ah," he uttered, raising one finger. "No, my mistake. Dreadfully sorry. You're right--it does smart a little. Could you possibly ring for an ambulance?"
The alternate Morning Discussion blurb for today follows: That snow, eh? Tsk! Can't decide whether it's coming or going. Wotta loada old tosh and no mistake, my son.

Not sure how much worth to put into this, but a post over at Duck and Cover talks about Interplay moving shares and 4 new games being funded:
http://www.duckandcover.cx/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23724
There are a little over 100 million shares of Interplay out there. The fact that Fredrick Chesnais is buying more shares of Interplay and will soon own 10% or so of Interplay which is very good news for stockholders. Fredrick, through I2G, agreed to fund 4 of Interplay's games through his company. He was granted shares for this and options to purchase more shares, and he gave Interplay some worthless IP, submarine something or another, as part of the deal. Basically, the stock deal and options for Fredrick are a reward for getting 4 new Interplay games funded (this isn't confirmed yet, but this stock purchase makes it very, very likely that everything worked out, otherwise Fredrick would not have bought more shares). the games are Descent, Earthworm Jim, Dark Alliance, and MDK (I think MDK, don't remember on that one).

The roads actually seem to be getting plowed fairly decently. US 1 at least looked pretty clear when I looked at it with cars going by. I am sure side roads are screwed though.

Also the wind out there is pretty bad and is going to cause problems for the rest of the night. Walls of snow went blowing by in the lot when the wind picked up.

I'm only asking because there seems to be some consensus that the PS3 version is the better of the two.

So after not getting a job for quite some time, instead of tweaking my resume, Im going to flat out redo it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for formats? I'm an entry level engineer with my masters with quite a few programs and qualifications.
I seriously need some help here, as I have been looking for a job all over the United States and have yet to find anything.

Hey shack, a lot later than expected i've finally finished re-designing my homepage. I'm an artist and I felt it was important to have some kind of up to date online presence, and most importantly a simple online store where i can sell the odd print from time to time.
Thanks to a lot of great feed back from the shack and other folks, I've made a lot of corrections. Although the whole project will evolve and improve over time, its just important to get something online right now that functions to a decent degree.
So please have a look, any feed back on the design or my artwork is always appreciated. Thanks!

What's an appropriate floral arrangement for a female you've been on several dates with and with whom you're doing it? There's nothing wrong with the red rose cliche but I just had to ask the shack for input.

It's even better than the first game! The basic idea's the same: faux-orchestral stuff with the eighties synth new-agey tunes. But this time around its so much better put together. The two work in tandem so much more naturally, and the orchestral elements have far more interesting melodies, not kind of boring like they were in the first game. The percussion is better as well, its kind of got a dance-rock beat in places, very cool!
Do you like the soundtrack!?

The deal in question has shot to Sales Rank #1 on B&N. It's dead now, of course, but people who ordered it are getting confirms. Mine shows charged and shipping on the Mach 2. Of course, this all means nothing, but is highly amusing. If it does go through, what a deal.
