Once a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Team Bondi's Rockstar-published thriller L.A. Noire will also be released for Xbox 360 according to information picked up by Destructoid relating to the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, which this month gives the first look at the elusive title.

Described as "an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders" set in "the classic noir period of the late 1940's" when announced in September 2006, Noire has been shrouded in mystery since the release of a cinematic trailer that October.

L.A. Noire is the first title from developer Team Bondi since being founded by Brendan McNamara--director and writer of Team Soho's sandbox crime 'em up The Getaway.

Meanwhile, Rockstar is working on a new PlayStation 3 exclusive internally at Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar North--the cold war spy thriller Agent.

Noire missed the only release window it was ever given--between November 2008 and September 2009--but hopefully we'll find out more when Game Informer hits. Here's the 2006 cinematic teaser trailer again for if you missed it the first time around.

Well, at least the game is still alive. Anxious to see some more news on it soon.
