Castle Crashers Dev Christens New Game 'BattleBlock Theater,' Dashes Charming Trailer Across Prow

The Behemoth's project previously known only as 'Game 3' will be named BattleBlock Theater and hit Xbox Live Arcade, the Castle Crashers developer has announced.

"Friendship, betrayal, and a whole truck load of cats" are promised as players are "forced into deadly performances" in the eponymous theatre, as shown in a new trailer.

BattleBlock Theater's downloadable Xbox 360 release is slated for this year. The Behemoth is also due to bring action RPG Castle Crashers to PlayStation 3 in 2010.

It looks like co-op, which is awesome. If so, they desperately need to improve their network stuff. The disconnects in Castle Crashers really killed the game for me.
