R.U.S.E. Trailer of Deviously Deceptive Generals
by Jeff Mattas, Feb 01, 2010 6:40pm PSTThe latest trailer for R.U.S.E., Eugen Systems' strategic war game, describes the development of the game's new real-time interface and the inclusion of deception-based tactics.
The game's senior producer, Mathieu Girard, explains that players will be able to use espionage and set traps in order to trick their opponents and emerge victoriously from a series of historically-based battles from World War II.
Girard also touches on R.U.S.E.'s "breakthrough-intensive interface." Described as a departure from the traditionally static RTS interfaces, R.U.S.E.'s control suite moves more closely towards the feel of next-generation touch-screen interfaces. This makes perfect sense, considering the previous revelation that the game will include multitouch touchscreen control for Windows 7.
R.U.S.E. is due out for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 before the end of March 2011.
