4A Games' post-apocalyptic shooter Metro 2033 (PC, Xbox 360) will hit North American shops on March 16 and those in Europe come March 19, publisher THQ revealed this morning.

The company also pulled back the curtain on a Limited Edition, which includes an exclusive in-game weapon ("the formidable automatic shotgun") and four "art cards" by Russian painter Anton Grechk. LE pricing was not provided--such offerings typically carry a $10 premium over the standard edition. As for the increasingly common pre-order incentive, "selected retailers" will be rewarding pre-orders with "Metro 2033 themed Xbox LIVE Avatar items." And if you haven't already, check out this delightful trailer for the novel-inspired game. It looks promising.
