Original: Digital distributor Good Old Games has begun adding titles from publisher Activision to its catalogue of DRM-free vintage video games, and we have five copies of the first two releases to give away--Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers and Arcanum.
Steampunk-y fantasy RPG Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura was released in 2001 by the sadly defunct Troika Games, the studio founded by Fallout veterans Tim Cain, Jason Anderson and Leonard Boyarsky and developer of the flawed masterpiece Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
GOG offers the voice-acted revamp of Sierra's 1993 adventure game Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, which features top talent including Mark Hamill and Tim Curry. While the Gabriel Knight series eventually gave video games the infamous 'cat hair moustache' puzzle, Sins of the Father was a hearty supernatural mystery adventure.
Further Activision titles are due to be added to GOG's library over the coming month.
Both games are priced at a mere $6 apiece but you could win one for free simply by leaving a comment saying which you fancy. We'll pick the winners at random later today.

I tried the demo of Arcanum:Of Steamworks and Magicka Obscura, and will have to add it to my wishlist, in lieu of something better appearing next week. Winning it here would be better though. Just. ^_^
1 Gabriel Knight por favor.
*hint hint wink wink nudge nudge*
Use of the Fall Out Engine, two-headed Brahmin reference, Magic, Steam Punk, it had everything... everything I tell ya...
Kind of a weird decision to start with Gabriel Knight instead of King's Quest, Police Quest, Quest for Glory, &c. I didn't think the name held as much influence.
