Dead or Alive PSP Creepily Promises 'Paradise in the Palm of Your Hand'

Tecmo's Dead or Alive fighting franchise is at long last making its way to the PSP, though perhaps not in the way you'd expect.

Rather than fighting, Dead or Alive: Paradise continues in the tradition of the two previous Xtreme spin-offs, packing loads of bikini-centric mini-games (beach volleyball, pool hopping, poker, photography, gift-giving and the like) that serve to make the company's promise of "paradise in the palm of your hand" all the more disturbing.

"You'll also be able to snap candid photos of your giggling beauties in their beachwear which you can store in your very own private photo album and collect 'Venus Clips' to enjoy later," the seemingly shameless company added. "It's all on-the-go, and all in the palm of your hand. Take your girls anywhere. Play with them any time."

The game, if you can really call it that, is due out this spring, with Tecmo commemorating the announcement through screenshots, renders and, of course, a trailer:

I think the most disturbing thing about this series is that it's still called "Dead or Alive".

Makes you wonder what minigames didn't make the cut.

Haha, I never really thought about that because I always associated DoA with the original fighting games. Fucking weird.
