RISK Factions Trailers: The Great Cat War

Fresh off word that Hasbro's classic board game RISK is coming to Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade download, publisher Electronic Arts has put out a pair of trailers that highlight the "outlandish factions" and "off-beat humor."

But fear not RISK purr-ists, as Electronic Arts has confirmed that "you can absolutely play the classic board game" in addition to the promised "innovative ways of experiencing the timeless turn-based board game in both objective-based and world conquest modes."

Developed by Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers and Novadrome veteran Stainless Games, RISK: Factions is due in "early 2010." No word yet on price.

Really hope this comes to PC as well. Electronic risk plays best with mouse point-and-click control.
