Rock Band DLC: Blue Oyster Cult, Motorhead, Hawkwind

10
Harmonix has announced that next week Rock Band will be shaken to its core by what will surely go down in history as one of the greatest downloadable content releases ever.

As well as liberating the six face-rocking tracks previously exclusive to the Metal Track Pack, the batch also packs in the unofficial song of the Shacknews virtual office--Blue Öyster Cult's "Godzilla" [the eponymous anti-hero is pictured left].

  • Blue Öyster Cult - "Godzilla"
  • Blue Öyster Cult - "Transmaniacon MC"
  • Hawkwind - "Master of the Universe"
  • I Mother Earth - "Levitate"
  • Motörhead - "Killed by Death '08"
  • Nazareth - "Hair of the Dog" (2008 re-recording)
  • Rage Against the Machine - "Bulls on Parade"

Hitting Xbox 360 and Wii on January 26 then PlayStation 3 on January 28, all tracks are original master recordings and will cost $2 (160 Microsoft Points) a pop.

The Rock Band Network, which will allow artists to Rock Band-ise and sell their own songs, entered open beta on Xbox 360 this week.

Ha, I didn't see the word "eponymous" was used in the article as well. Weird.

Agreed on Godzilla! I just played through GH:Smash Hits, and thought, "Man, it's too bad some of these songs (especially Godzilla) aren't in Rock Band."
