"Please stop asking us for Burnout Paradise DLC," declares the company's Twitter. "There will be no more! Sorry everyone! But we did WAY more than everyone else..." nope
Initially released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in January 2008 and then PC in February 2009, the racer was supported with a variety of free and priced adds-ons, including motorcycles, new modes, and a replica of Back to the Future's DeLorean. The updates culminated in June 2009 with Big Surf Island, the only add-on to to bring new land, though neither Big Surf Island nor the Cops and Robbers DLC were released on PC.
But while Criterion has moved on--it's working on a Need for Speed entry, described as "revolutionary" and due by March 2011--it has also begun to detail the discarded ideas it had for Burnout Paradise add-ons, including playable planes and boats, time travel, and a rocket that would have taken players to (and let them race on) the moon.
